Setting up ToonBooth on your iPad is a straightforward process designed to get you up and running in no time. Step 1: Download and Install ToonBooth
- Head to the Apple App Store on your iPad and search for the ToonBooth app.
- Download and install ToonBooth, ideally on the latest iPad Pro for optimal performance.
Step 2: Onboard and Sign Up
- Launch ToonBooth and go through the onboarding process to familiarize yourself with the app's features.
- Sign up for a trial account to get started with ToonBooth's offerings.
Step 3: Utilize Your Free Trial
- Your trial includes 2 free events. Use these opportunities to explore the app's features fully and even charge clients for your services during these events.
Step 4: Create a New Event
- In the app, tap on "New Event" and provide the necessary details to set up your event in ToonBooth.
Step 5: Configure the Countdown
- Set how many seconds you want the countdown timer to display before taking a photo in the photo booth.
Step 6: Choose Image Size
- Select the desired image size for your photos—square or 4x6. Ensure your printer is compatible with your chosen size. For square images, the DNP QW410 printer is recommended.
Step 7: Set Up Sharing and Customization Options
- Choose how you want to share the photos and what customization options you'd like to apply.
Step 8: Upload an Attract Screen
- Upload a screen that will attract guests to the photo booth. Refer to the attract screen tutorial for guidance or use one of the provided samples.
Step 9: Upload a Photo Template
- Prepare and upload a photo template for the event. For a 4x6 portrait template, the dimensions are 1280 x 1920 px and for a 4x4 square template, the dimensions are 1600 x 1600 px. Use the provided Canva templates or refer to the photo template tutorial for designing your own.
